Multicultural Training

Are you looking to increase your cultural competence when working with clients in the community sector?  

This short course will provide you with an understanding of: 

• introduction to cultural competence,  

• develop skills that you can use when working with culturally diverse clients, and  

• increase your understanding of our multicultural communities living in the Canberra region.  

The course will be facilitated by MARSS workers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with lived experience of cultural diversity.  

About the Facilitator: 

MARSS (Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services), is a Canberra-based non-profit established in 1980. It assists migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers to exercise their human rights, successfully settle and build a new life in Australia. MARSS provides a wide range of services, including assistance with finding housing, accessing health care, and enrolling in education and training programs. The organisation also provides language and cultural support services, to help clients better understand and navigate Australian society.
