Information Session: Child Safe Standards

Does your organisation provide services to children and young people? Are you aware that the ACT introduced the Child Safe Standards Scheme (the Scheme) in August 2024? If you are interested in the Scheme, and/or think you may be in scope for the Scheme, you are invited to attend a one hour introductory information session being provided by the ACT Human Rights Commission (ACTHRC). 

At this session, you will receive information about: 

• The Child Safe Standards (Standards) and why they have been introduced 

• How the ACT HRC is supporting implementation of the Scheme  

• What organisations need to know about the Standards 

• How leaders can support their organisations to embed the Standards 

• How the ACTHRC can support you to become a child safe organisation 

At the end of the session there will an opportunity for questions. You will also be able to explore and discuss opportunities to access more targeted workshops for staff, a presentation to your Board or tailored discussions with the leadership team in your organisation.
