National Reconciliation Week event: Voices Across Generations

Join us for a National Reconciliation Week cultural and panel event for the ACT community sector.

National Reconciliation Week Banner. All In for Reconciliation

This year, ACTCOSS is supporting the  ACT Reconciliation Council to host a National Reconciliation Week (#NRW 2026) event for people who work in the community sector.

The event will include a panel session emphasising cultural safety as the foundation of helping young people thrive into the future. The panel will feature Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and community workers who live and work in the ACT and region.

Panellists will share their insights on creating culturally safe environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, so they can learn and thrive.

The panel discussion will be followed by cultural activities and lunch together at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre.

The 2026 Reconciliation Week theme of All in for Reconciliation supports our active understanding of reconciliation and our commitment to learning and sharing the responsiblities for growing culture and caring for each other. We are all in for building a safe, productive and happy future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.

Attending events like this is an important step in our reconciliation journey. We invite all community sector organisations to come and learn alongside us. We hope you will join us!

We acknowledge the support of the ACT Government in helping enable this event.
