Information Session: Understanding the ACT Budget Process

This session will provide a clear and accessible overview of the ACT budget process, from planning and consultation through to approval and delivery.

Representatives from the Chief Minister, Treasury, and Economic Development Directorate will provide an overview of:

• The key stages of the ACT budget cycle
• Who is involved in decision-making and how priorities are set
• How is wellbeing taken into account in the budget process
• How community organisations can engage with the process
• Timelines and opportunities for input throughout the year

This session is ideal for those working in the community sector who want to build confidence in navigating government funding processes and improve their ability to advocate effectively within the ACT context. This session will also include a Q&A segment, offering the chance to ask questions you may have.
