Session 2: 2026-27 ACT Budget Roundtable
Registrations open until Monday 16 February
To support strong and coordinated community sector input into the 2026-27 ACT Budget process, ACTCOSS is again partnering with the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) to host a series of online roundtable discussions between the sector and Government.
These roundtables are an important opportunity to:
- Share your organisation’s top priorities directly with Treasury and other Government officials as they shape the next ACT Budget.
- Introduce and socialise emerging budget bids. Even if a proposal is unlikely to be funded this year, advocacy helps build the case for future budgets.
- Highlight the value of programs and services at risk of cessation, ensuring Treasury understands their impact and the community need.
- Contribute to the collective evidence that community services are a vital investment in the ACT’s social and economic wellbeing.
How the sessions will run
To keep the discussion sharp and focused, session 2 will have a maximum of 12 organisations.
Please come to the roundtable prepared to deliver a concise summary of the most essential investment that the ACT Government could include in the 2026-27 ACT Budget.
If all spaces in the roundtable are taken, each organisation will have 3 mins to speak.
We have also included some time in the agenda for a Q&A between community sector participants and government attendees. These sessions will be held online only. Please email the ACTCOSS policy team at [email protected] if you’d like any further information.
Registrations close COB Monday 16th February.
Please note:
- These sessions are online only. There are no in-person sessions.
- Please register your organisation for one session only – each organisation will be allocated one presentation slot. Due to the limited number of roundtables, we cannot offer multiple presentation slots for organisations.
- If you would like to attend any or all of the budget roundtables, as an audience member only, please email the policy team no later than COB Monday 16 February.
