Adult Mental Health First Aid

Join us for a comprehensive Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) workshop facilitated by Rhonda Woodward, an accredited MHFA instructor. Over two days, this course equips individuals with the essential skills to offer initial assistance to adults facing mental health challenges. This workshop has a component focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

This workshop is essential to workers in client facing roles or in contact with vulnerable people.

What is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)?

Similar to physical first aid, MHFA teaches participants how to assist individuals developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis. This practical, evidence-based approach empowers attendees to provide support until professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

Why is Mental Health First Aid important?

Mental health affects us all, and MHFA is crucial in building a compassionate and supportive community. By fostering mental health literacy, this workshop enables participants to recognise, respond to, and assist those facing mental health concerns.

Take a proactive step towards fostering mental health awareness and support within your community. Join us for this impactful two-day workshop to gain practical skills, inclusive insights, and accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider.

  • Audience: Open to all community sector and government workers. Participants must attend both full days of training.

  • Cultural sensitivity: Tailored content based on the expert consensus of Aboriginal mental health professionals.

  • Accreditation: Complete an online assessment at the end of the course to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider.

  • Meals: Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea included.
