2024 ACT Election Candidate Forum

On Thursday, September 12th, ACTCOSS hosted over 50 Community Sector Organisation members and 10 Candidates at our 2024 ACT Election Candidate Forum.
Facilitated by ACTCOSS CEO, Dr Devin Bowles, the event kicked off with Candidate pitches. Each Candidate had 3-minutes to share their perspectives on Housing and Homelessness, Cost of Living, a Thriving and Sustainable Community Sector, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Self-Determination.
After the Candidate pitches, each party/candidate was given the opportunity to sit with Community Sector Organisations and answer their questions.
The forum was a great opportunity for both the Community Sector and Candidates to connect on pressing issues for the Canberra community. We received positive written and verbal feedback from both members and candidates. Thank you to all those who attended and made the event so meaningful.
