Poverty in the ACT – Anti-poverty week October 2025

Read our new Snapshot on Poverty in the ACT, created in collaboration with St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn.

Poverty in the ACT is not always visible, but right now around 10% of Canberrans are in poverty. After the pandemic and in a continuing cost-of-living crisis for those on low incomes, poverty is affecting more people and affecting people more deeply.

And you can watch this video to understand what frontline workers are seeing in the ACT.
