Help map the ACT’s disaster social recovery system: survey for community organisations
9 April 2026
Does your organisation help communities recover after a disaster?
We need your insights to help map the ACT’s social recovery ecosystem.
Community organisations play a critical role in supporting people before, during and after disasters. The community sector is often at the frontline of social recovery providing essential support. This support can include housing, food, personal needs, health and wellbeing supports, legal and financial assistance, and community connection.
Mapping the ACT Social Recovery Ecosystem
ACTCOSS and VolunteeringACT are leading a project to map how the ACT community sector contributes to disaster social recovery.
By understanding who is involved, what roles are being played, and where gaps exist, we can help the sector to improve training, coordination and communication. We aim to ensure the sector is better equipped to support those most impacted by disasters.
Survey
We’re inviting organisations that contribute to social recovery in the ACT to complete a short 15‑minute survey by 15 May 2026.
The survey only needs to be completed once per organisation and focuses on your organisation’s role, workforce (staff and volunteers), and communication during and after emergencies
Download the factsheet below for more details about the survey and the project. If you have any questions about the project or survey questions, please contact us at [email protected].
