Submission: Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission: Electricity price investigation issues paper August 2026

On Thursday 6 August 2026, the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission released an issues paper about the 2027-30 electricity price investigation. The Commission was asking for submissions about electricity prices for small customers on standard retail contracts, including ordinary households.

ACTCOSS made a submission to the Commission with recommendations about protecting energy consumers on lower incomes.

ACTCOSS will continue to engage with the investigation process when the Commission releases its draft report.
