Climate change disproportionately impacts people who face disadvantage.

In particular, it affects people on low incomes, people with disability and chronic health conditions, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

ACTCOSS advocates for a fair, just, and fast transition to net zero greenhouse gas emissions in the ACT. We also work with partners to ensure low-income households get fair outcomes in relation to energy and utilities.

ACTCOSS is also working with the ACT Government and the ACT community sector to help the sector adapt to climate change.

ACTCOSS is funded by Energy Consumers Australia to support ACT low-income households, non-government organisations and small business consumers to participate fully in consultations and decision making on energy issues.
